Learning about Resilience: Annual Fiscal Sponsorship Conference

On April 3 and 4, 2018, TSNE held our annual fiscal sponsorship conference in Boston. The theme of this two-day event focused on nonprofit resilience.

Resilient organizations have the ability to continuously learn and adapt to changing demands and overall environments. They also are adept at building the resilience of their staff by valuing their contributions, perspectives, and experiences that support their leadership and positive development. With the number of challenges our industry faces, we are required to be creative and flexible in our programming and operational models to effectively meet the growing needs of the communities we serve.

At this conference for our fiscally sponsored projects, grantees, and consultants, we shared tools, techniques, and tips on strengthening our capacity to remain nimble in the fast-changing landscape of the nonprofit industry, funding channels, need for more collaboration, and increasing social impact expectations. The sessions included topics like diversifying funding models, navigating federal funding, building inclusive organizations, organizational lifecycles, and staff capacity building, using data for business intelligence and more.
