The way that Connecticut funds its schools is broken. It's unfair to kids and taxpayers, and it doesn't work for many schools, towns and cities. The amount of money a school gets is not based on the needs of the kids who go to that school, and the amount taxpayers must pay to support education is are very different in each town. Some schools have what they need to educate kids, and others don't have textbooks for every child.
The goal of the Connecticut School Finance Project is to collaborate with everyone who is impacted by this problem to find solutions that are fair to kids and taxpayers, and work better for schools, towns and cities.
