The Learning and Evaluation Coordinator will help implement TSNE MissionWorks’ learning strategies, practices, and systems. This includes collaborating with department leaders to identify quality and impact metrics, analyzing quantifying and qualitative data, conducting research, reporting all relevant data, creating learning tools and dashboards. This person will support the Director of Learning and Evaluation in launching effective practices and tools for collecting, analyzing, and actualizing key learnings in order to continuously improve the quality and impact of TSNE MissionWorks’ programs. The Learning and Evaluation Coordinator will support TSNE MissionWorks’ learning and evaluation activities and work closely with program managers to ensure they have the necessary tools and systems to assess the quality and impact of their programs.

Data Operations and Analysis  

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of both qualitative and quantitative programmatic data, interpreting and integrating key learnings into on-going programmatic planning; 
  • Conduct research-related activities as needed, including literature reviews and environmental scans, and reading and synthesizing published studies;
  • Create, source, modify, and implement the appropriate data collection tools to be used at the program level for evaluation and learning, data collection, analysis, knowledge management, and information-sharing;
  • Design and build reports in Excel and other reporting systems for program managers, senior leadership, and other critical stakeholders;
  • Assist the Learning and Evaluation Director in developing and sharing data dashboards to transparently share program quality and impact across the organization;
  • Collaborate with the Director of Learning and Evaluation to further develop learning and evaluation processes that measure program’s quality of service and impact; 
  • Collaborate with the Director of Business Intelligence and Systems to continually develop quality of service and impact data tracking capabilities;
  • Complete research-related administrative and other tasks as needed.

Program Planning and Support

  • Work with department leaders and program to identify and create measures for service quality and impact-related performance indicators; 
  • Collaborate with program leaders to support the design and implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the programs and help translate learnings into modified strategies;
  • Help foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement by facilitating data driven action learning sessions, data galleries, and other group learning practices;
  • Train program staff in learning and evaluation best practices and procedures;
  • Develop data-driven program recommendations and learnings, including promising practices and current challenges;
  • Implement programmatic learning practices and processes that help program staff identify actionable insights; 
  • Collaborate with Work with the communications team to prepare periodic publications to promote the impact of programs to key stakeholders and the general public; 
  • Develop performance management processes using survey instruments, interviews, focus groups, and other tools;
  • Write assessment and key learnings reports;
  • Present and disseminate evaluation results to internal audiences;
  • Complete research-related administrative and other tasks as needed;
  • Undertake other tasks that are consistent with the position, as assigned by supervisor.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in research or evaluation, including developing or improving organizational systems; 
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing learning practices and evaluation systems at organizational and programmatic levels; 
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills (including statistical methods) and the ability to summarize data, interpret results, and effectively present information to program staff, partners and donors;
  • A highly collaborative professional approach that thrives off working within large and diverse teams;
  • Extensive experience in data analysis and visualization and knowledge of database systems is required;
  • Proficient in MS Excel spreadsheet functionality (vlookup, charts/graphs);
  • Strong written and analytical skills including the ability to synthesize and write about data for non-academic audiences;
  • Extensive project management experience is required;
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and understanding of the value of diversity in the workplace, with an ability to work collaboratively with people of diverse backgrounds, traditions, customs and personalities; 
  • Commitment to the work of social and economic justice organizations;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Experience working with a range of stakeholders;
  • A strong commitment to excellence;
  • Ability to play close and accurate attention to detail;
  • Ability to juggle tasks and multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment;
  • Performs other duties as assigned;
  • Four or more years of experience in research or evaluation, including developing or improving organizational systems;
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing learning practices and evaluation systems at organizational and programmatic levels;
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills (including statistical methods) and the ability to summarize data, interpret results, and effectively present information to program staff, partners and donors;
  • Advanced MS Excel spreadsheet functionality (vlookup, charts/graphs);
  • Proficient in Microsoft software, Tableau, and ability to learn new systems quickly and enthusiastically.
