Design Studio for Social Intervention DS4SI is dedicated to changing how social change is imagined, developed and deployed here in the United States. We are creating a design studio for the progressive arm of the non-profit sector in order to support the sector’s ability to create new forms of effective social intervention and the exploration of new ways to be interventionists.

Farm to Institution New England FINE is a six-state network of non-profit, public and private entities working collaboratively to strengthen our food system by increasing the amount of New England-grown and processed food served in our region’s schools, hospitals, colleges and other institutions. FINE envisions that every New England institution will preferentially purchase regionally produced food. Visit their website
Financial Transparency Coalition The Financial Transparency Coalition (FTC) is a global network of civil society, governments, and experts. They work to curtail illicit financial flows through the promotion of a transparent, accountable, and sustainable financial system that works for everyone.
First Teacher First Teacher is a movement of parents helping parents prepare their children for success in kindergarten and beyond. First Teacher is a hands-on neighborhood initiative for parents and caregivers based on the idea that if knowledge, information, and effective strategies are made accessible through a non-judgmental, collaborative approach, parenting practices will improve dramatically, thereby directly supporting toddlers’ school readiness prospects. The long-term goal of First Teacher is that children enter K1 at or above grade-level in literacy skills and general school readiness.
Future Chefs Future Chefs works with young people between the ages of 16 and 24 who are enrolled in vocational and comprehensive high schools and are interest in exploring and preparing for culinary and related careers.
Gardening the Community Gardening the Community is a youth-based food justice organization engaged in urban agriculture, sustainable living, and organizing for healthy and equitable communities.
Hispanic Black Gay Coalition Hispanic Black Gay Coalition (HBGC) is one of few non-profit organizations in Boston dedicated to the unique and complex needs of the Black, Hispanic and Latin@ LGBTQ community. Founded in 2009, we work to inspire and empower Latin@, Hispanic and Black LGBTQ individuals to improve their livelihood through activism, education, community outreach, and counseling.
Institute for Social and Economic Development The mission of ISED Solutions is to strengthen the social and economic well-being of individuals and communities in the United States and worldwide. ISED Solutions provides consulting and evaluation to organizations focused on refugee and immigrant services and economic and asset development to help improve long-term social and economic outcomes for low income people.
Lawrence Dream Network Lawrence Dream Network is a network of individuals, the goal of which is to provide culturally competent training, mentoring, and coaching to youth and young adults, parents and professionals in Lawrence.
Maine Food Strategy The Main Food Strategy is an initiative creating a broader and strongly-connected network of organizations, agencies, businesses and individuals contributing to the food system in Maine. The initiative is convening a statewide participatory process that will identify and advance shared goals to support a robust food economy in Maine. Visit their website
Massachusetts Farm to School Massachusetts Farm to School is a statewide organization that facilitates sustainable purchasing relationships between local institutions and local farms, promotes local food and agriculture education for students, and supports state, regional and national networking of farm to school practitioners. They envision a time when buying, serving, and promoting local foods is ingrained in the fabric of our schools and institutions. Massachusetts Farm to School is a sub-project of Farm to Institution New England.
Massachusetts Organization for Addiction Recovery MOAR is a grass-roots organization started by volunteers on behalf of people in recovery and their families. The MOAR mission is “to organize recovering individuals, families and friends into a collective voice to educate the public about the value of recovery from alcohol and other addictions." MOAR envisions a society where addiction is treated as a significant public health issue and recovery is recognized as valuable to all our communities.
