Safe Havens Interfaith Partnership Against Domestic Violence

Safe Havens was founded in 1991 in response to all victims of abuse who reach out to their faith leaders for help. Their goal is to engage faith community leaders in prevention, earlier intervention, accountability and social change through outreach, education and resources. Safe Havens’ collaborative and innovative work has strengthened the faith community response to domestic violence. In addition, Safe Havens works with the Department of Justice’s Office on Violence Against Women as a national Technical Assistance Provider in the areas of rural domestic violence and abuse in later life.
