Diversity and Inclusion Initiative: A Step-By-Step Guide

In 2000, TSNE began grantmaking as a social impact investment with a program called the Diversity Initiative.

These grants supported more than 100 nonprofits in building more diverse and inclusive leadership and staff. When the Diversity Initiative wound down in 2011, we compiled our learning and impact from these programs in our publication: Step-by-Step Guide to Achieving Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace.

In this guide for nonprofit organizations is a step-by-step approach – in seven phases – to achieving diversity and inclusiveness in the nonprofit workplace. The guide offers practical advice for creating a better work environment through a more diverse and inclusive organization.
